The last week in April brought us builders with enough materials to construct the latrines and some temporary classrooms for our new school.

And by the first week in May the builders were making fast progress on both – and we needed them to be fast. Latrines and basic classrooms were the minimum needed to get the Ministry of Education’s stamp of approval for school to resume on 9th May 2022 – the beginning of the new term.

The clock was ticking and the money was running out. Our children were looking forward to getting back to school but we were worried we wouldn’t have a school for them to go to.

I’ll let you know tomorrow, what happened next 🙂
