The rainy season usually starts in October in Uganda, and that’s when we planned to plant Atlas Vegan Community School’s food garden, but the rains started early this year. So a couple of weeks ago we decided to take advantage of that and planted 50kg of beans over half an acre. And look!!! Here come the beans to feed our children!

The next thing we needed was a water tank to collect rainwater for feeding our crops and also for sanitation and handwashing – more about that tomorrow 🙂 This will save a lot of money in the future because we won’t have to use the expensive drinking water for irrigation and sanitation. Now we pray for rain 😀
If you would like to help our vegan school you can donate here. Thank you so much.
