We are honoured to have been invited to collaborate with bonobo.tv in their vital campaign to save the bees.
Without bees and other pollinators, our lives, and those of other Earthlings, would be in serious jeopardy. Pollinators such as bees, butterflies, moths, birds and bats help plants reproduce.
Whilst foraging for nectar they transfer pollen from the male to the female parts of flowers. This is essential for the production of fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
More than 75% of global food crops rely on pollinators.
In addition to enabling our food production, bees and other pollinators play a crucial role in maintaining healthy ecosystems. They help to ensure genetic diversity in plant populations which is essential for the adaptation and evolution of species.
And why are pollinators (and therefore the rest of us) in danger?
The main reasons are loss of habitat – due to urbanization and industrial agriculture – and the industrialisation of honey production.

To highlight this crisis, the children of Atlas Vegan Community School have taken part in a little music video of The Waggle Dance, which they loved every minute of! I will share the song with you now and hope that I’ll soon be able to post a video of the dance too. Enjoy this beautiful song and, while you’re at it, think about turning your garden into a wild bee sanctuary 😀 and ask your local council to do the same!
