Our charity was featured on TV and radio news – that is BBSTV, NBSTV, Spark TV and CBS Radio – in a story urgently calling for the protection of the environment in Uganda.
The speakers, including Musisi Mike from our organisation, expressed the need to protect our local environment, green spaces and wildlife habitats from foreign companies who are destroying the Kassanda wetlands and chopping down trees in the Kikumbi forest in Mityana.
In an effort to tackle the climate crisis, leaders from Mityana district called on the president to intervene and stop these exploitative, destructive corporations and Mike appealed to the president, asking him to embrace veganism for the sake of our fragile planet and all of its inhabitants.
